~when He makes you wait, it’s because He’s making you ready
~What’s painful about these times is that they tend to bring out the worst in us. Why would God want us in a place where our self-life seems to upstage the God-life in us?
~it’s your testing ground – testing and proving you, preparing you for a life of depth and significance
~Call on God until His power invades your reality
~How we respond to someone else’s blessings says a lot about where our affections lie
~We need these painful times of refining so we will know in the depths of our being (where most lies go to hide), that our hope is in the Living God who daily establishes His purposes for us. Our hope is not in people, financial provision, acceptance or popularity, a local church or particular ministry, or even a beautifully decorated cinnamon-scented home. Our hope is in the living, loving God who has our hand, our heart, and our dreams very close to His heart
~in a season of refining, lean in. Trust the loving hand of your precious Savior
~Refuse a sense of entitlement and don’t demand to be understood…humble yourself and seek to understand what The Lord is doing around you
~Precious Lord, You are always good. Thank you for loving me like You do. Help me to see You in my current life circumstance. Open up my eyes to see the wonder of Your love, the riches of Your grace, and the beauty of Your plan for me. I open up my hands to You and say with all my heart, You get to decide, Lord. You get to decide the how, the when, and the what for the deepest desires of my heart. Pour Your Spirit out on me. Give me grit and grace to lean in and learn everything I can in this place. I belong to You, Lord. We shall never be apart, and for this, I’m forever grateful. Amen.
