A good day to put it all together again…

When the soul feels overwhelmed with all that’s temporal and a bit underwhelmed with the shape of things eternal in my internal spaces…

Maybe it’s a good day to put it all together again…

Spiritual inventory within this frame right now.  Asking questions…seeking answers.  What in my life is hindering Him from being more in my life?  What things, activities, and people is He calling me to invest in?  What things, activities, and people has He not called me to invest in?  right now?  What season am I in…am I trying to plant flowers in the winter? (An activity my children attempted yesterday.)  What words do I speak most often?  Are they the right ones?  What do I have my hand in?  Should it even be there?  What is God asking me to do?  (It is most likely NOT what He’s asking her/him to do.)

20 Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus loved was following them. (This was the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and had said, “Lord, who is going to betray you?”) 21 When Peter saw him, he asked, “Lord, what about him?”

22 Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me.”23 Because of this, the rumor spread among the believers that this disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say that he would not die; he only said, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?”

John 21 NIV
What people am I to have close relationships with and which ones am I to be ok with knowing and loving from the distances God is allowing for our lives right now?
Now is a time to “let my words be few” so that I can hear Him.  Now is a time to circumcise this life of mine, so that I may live the life of Him.  (John 3:30)
Now is the only time if I’m living with eyes on the eternal.
