A Day in Thanks…

Sometimes I go whole weeks without recognizing His every day grace; like maybe this “Giving Thanks” thing is some kind of fad that will fade. Then I find myself desperate – pleading to God beneath the mess of me, and once again, He patiently, gently, and lovingly holds my face and heart and mind in His hands. “Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.” “In everything give thanks, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (I Thess. 5:18). So the following is grace after grace, recorded and numbered, to shape an entire day – to make the broken pieces one “whole” gift.

3221: in his arms
3222: Ruthie sleeping through the night
3223: meeting with and praying with Ann
3224: a little extra time with Nathan
3225: time to study
3226: time to laugh with kids
3227: prayer run
