3 Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good. Genesis 1 NLT

28 God rescued me from the grave,
and now my life is filled with light.’

29 “Yes, God does these things
again and again for people. Job 33

3 Send out your light and your truth;
let them guide me.
Let them lead me to your holy mountain,
 to the place where you live.
4 There I will go to the altar of God,
to God—the source of all my joy.
I will praise you with my harp,
O God, my God! Psalm 43

It was your right hand and strong arm and the blinding light from your face that helped them, for you loved them. Psalm 44:3

There have been many cloudy days this winter, and my soul has yearned for light.  This week God gave us the gift of light, and maybe just a bit of a glimpse of what it would have been like on that Day 1.  When your days are dark and your soul has been confined in a dark corner somewhere, the light bursts through with rays of hope.  And you just can’t help but want to capture it, hold it, linger in it; for who knows when it will be back again.

So today I will relax shoulders, smile into the sun, and linger in the light.  It is good.
